They take pride in the opportunity to impact the lives of our members each day.  Our Youth Development Professionals are selected based upon their experience, character and passion for working with youth. We take the following steps to make sure the staff and volunteers, who work at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Crescent Region, and partnering organizations, are the right people to care for your children.

1. All adults that interact with our participants go through a thorough screening process that includes reference checks, a national back ground check, and a sex offender registry check. All adults go through this process annually. This includes both staff and volunteers.

2. Volunteers are always accompanied by a trained Youth Development Professional, and never left alone with the members.

3. All adults must sign in with a Youth Development Professional before entering our program.

All of our staff goes through ongoing training to ensure that your children are provided high quality services in a safe and fun environment. Youth Development Professionals receive between 15 and 25 hours of youth development and programmatic training throughout the year. This guarantees that our staff are not only following a strict set of policies & procedures but are also prepared with all the necessary tools to be able to teach members the skills they need through activities they love.
