Just because you’re out of school doesn’t mean the learning stops! BE GREAT Academy Education & S.T.E.M. programs help youth achieve more by creating an environment that is conducive to studying, celebrates achievement and allows for each member to find success.

 

Power Hour: Making Minutes Count

Power Hour: Making Minutes Count provides members an opportunity to do homework, study or practice learning skills.  Staff is provided with tools and strategies to help members achieve academic success.

 

NetSmartz

NetSmartz teaches internet safety skills through engaging multimedia activities and offline interaction with Club professionals in 3 age-appropriate modules. Topics include personal safety and ethical use of the internet.

 

Club Tech

Club Tech is a computer skills program that develops proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and other productivity software through fun, hands-on, engaging lessons and projects for all ages. These self-guided activities also help develop computer science skills like coding and software & app design.

 

S.T.E.A.M Kits

These quarterly programs offer fun, interactive experiments centered on a scientific learning area. New STEAM kits are added annually and include topics such as: aeronautics, meteorology, geometric design, and Lights & Sound.

 

Book Club

Recognizing that literacy is a key to success, BE GREAT Academy offers a weekly Book Club that provides members with age appropriate books and discussion questions that promote critical thinking while fostering a love of reading.

 

Brain Games

Designed to combat summer slide, Brian Games are a varied set of activities that keep kids learning. Weekly offerings in Math, Reading, Vocabulary, Engineering & Science are fun and flexible to ensure members are ready for each new school year.

Lingo

This summer exclusive, introduces members to words and phrases in Spanish, French, Chinese, & American Sign Language through games, songs, and flash cards.
