Operated by the United Way, SC 211 connects individuals with local services, including employment assistance, food resources, healthcare, and help with rent or utility bills. Residents can dial 211 from any phone to speak with an agent or text “DSS” to 211211 for a menu of services.
Family Resource Centers:
These community-based centers provide services such as parenting classes, job training, mental health counseling, and child care. They are located in various settings, including schools and community centers, to support families in need.
SC Parents:
Search and connect to support for financial assistance, food pantries, medical care and other free or reduced-cost help.
National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) South Carolina:
NAMI provides education, support, and advocacy for individuals and families affected by mental illness. They offer programs and support groups to help families navigate mental health challenges.
